Michael
Timothy Barzone Michael Timothy Barzone, 58, passed away at Morningside Health Care Center on Wednesday, April 18, 2007. Michael was born July 29, 1948 in Port Huron, Michigan to the late Albert Mardlin and Marion Compo. He was adopted by the late Michael and Lillian Barzone in July 1952. Michael served in the United States Navy from 1966 to 1972 as a medic. For his service, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal with Bronze Star, the Combat Action Ribbon and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. On July 11, 1981 Michael married Christine Rusch of Sheboygan, she preceded him in death in December of 2000. Michael, known by many friends as Lord Donato, enjoyed the study of medieval life and traditions. He and Christine explored the life of knights and ladies through various associations and groups, including participation in the annual Bristol Renaissance Faire. Michael grew an extensive collection of swords, crossbows, costumes and wooden goblets, throughout his life. Michael was also a very talented cross-stitch artist, creating beautiful renditions of medieval tapestries. Most recently, Michael was employed by the Rehabilitation Center of Sheboygan (RCS) where he truly enjoyed helping the clients and individuals who attended workshops and programming. Michael found his employment at RCS to be rewarding and important. Michael is survived by the family of his late wife, Christine (Rusch) Barzone, including Connie Rusch, Katy (Michael) Prange, Kurt Rusch, Rosalie Rusch, Karl (Mari) Rusch, Judy (Doug) Rindt and Janet (David) Tetschlag. Michael's family would like to thank the staff of Morningside Health Care Center and Memorial Hospital for their patience, support and kindness throughout the last several years of Michael's life. A private graveside service at Wildwood Cemetery was held in honor of Michael's memory. Zimmer's Westview Funeral & Cremation Care Center assisted the family.
