Sir Don and his Wife Mary Lou owned the Wizard's Chamber at the Bristol Renaissance Faire for 17 years (1988-2005).  Sir Don spent many happy hours speaking with people at the Faire, whether patron, merchant, or player, and helping them with any problems.  He anticipated opening his shop at the Kansas City Renaissance Faire in 2007 when he experienced a sudden heart attack.  He went into the hospital and died three days later.  Don is survived by his wife, Mary Lou, one daughter, Melody Ramsey, two sons, Don Chitwood and Scott Chitwood, and four grandchildren, Natasha (who spent many summers at the Faire with her grandparents and continues the tradition with friends and family at her local Faire in TN), Lindsay, Hudson, and Glory.
